Friendship, prayer, and emotional are the three words that come to mind when I think of Emily and Stan’s wedding. It was boho, rustic, and modern all at the same time. Both Emily + Stan were able to get ready in their childhood homes which was so special to them. They wanted all their bestest friends to stand by their side as they said “I do.” They shared their appreciation to them by giving the most thoughtful gifts ever! Emily + Stan truly care about each other, they care about their friends, and they care about their family.

Their entire day was centered around prayer. All they want to do in their marriage is honour God and that was so evident. All the girls prayed for Emily before she walked down the isle. During the ceremony their pastor called up their entire wedding party to lay hands on them and bless their marriage. What a great way to start a marriage. Although they had a larger wedding, they both loved the idea of sharing their vows intimately . They chose to write and share personal vows with each other in private after the ceremony. They poured out their hearts to one another and had me in tears behind my camera.

Emily + Stan’s love story is a pretty crazy one! Both their families are Russian, and they actually knew each other in Russia. Both families ended up moving to Winnipeg at different times. They met when they were only 4 + 6, but didn’t start connecting until junior high. They dated for 4 years, were engaged for 7 months, and now have the rest of their lives together.

“Our experience with Liv was AMAZING!!! She helped us to get comfortable in front of the camera (we’re usually not) and capture candid and authentic pictures of us. It was so fun that she had us moving and not just standing like statues. We also really appreciated how she asked us what kind of pictures we wanted to do and tailored them to what we were comfortable with. Liv made the whole day fun and captured all the little moments that I just LOVE looking back on. She captured all the heartfelt moments and made sure to capture the details that I didn’t know I wanted like the ceremony site and all the little signs I made. Liv went above and beyond to make our day memorable in such a tangible way. Everyone (family, bridal party, us) just absolutely loved working with her and appreciate how comfortable she made us all feel.”
